In a significant shift regarding the Iranian nuclear standoff, U.S. President Donald Trump has suggested he might agree to a deal if Tehran suspends its nuclear program for 20 years.

Speaking to reporters aboard Air Force One, Trump emphasized that any such commitment must be "realistic" and "guaranteed." "Twenty years is enough, but it has to be a real 20-year guarantee," Trump stated.

This marks a departure from his previous demand for a permanent ban on uranium enrichment. Meanwhile, in a separate interview with Fox News, Trump issued a stern warning, stating he is losing patience and urging Iran to reach a settlement immediately. This new proposal follows high-level talks with Chinese President Xi Jinping concerning the security of the Strait of Hormuz.
