Democratic Congressman Seth Moulton has fiercely criticized President Donald Trump's upcoming peace framework with Iran, characterizing it as a complete "surrender document."

Speaking on MS NOW, Moulton, a member of the House Armed Services Committee, argued that the proposed deal offers no real strategic gains, as it merely restores access to the Strait of Hormuz—a shipping lane that was already open before the conflict initiated.

Highlighting that the military campaign has already cost taxpayers $100 billion and claimed the lives of 14 citizens, he questioned the validity of framing this compromise as a national victory. While the administration asserts the agreement will successfully dismantle Tehran's nuclear capabilities, Iranian officials have downplayed the timeline, clarifying that a final signing is not imminent. Meanwhile, defense analysts note that despite heavy airstrikes, Iran's military apparatus remains highly resilient.
