Tarique Rahman Urges People To Vote Yes In Upcoming Referendum

BNP Chairman Tarique Rahman has called upon the citizens to vote in favor of ‘Yes’ in the upcoming national referendum regardless of their political affiliations. Addressing a massive public rally at Rangpurs historic Collectorate Eidgah field on Friday night he emphasized that upholding the 'July Charter' is a moral obligation to honor the sacrifices of martyrs like Abu Sayeed.

He urged the people to maintain the unity achieved during the August 5 revolution and remain vigilant in exercising their voting rights to prevent any future dummy elections.

Outlining his vision for Rangpurs development Tarique Rahman stated that the region would be transformed by establishing agro-based industries and providing special incentives for businessmen. He also announced plans for tax exemptions for local IT firms to boost employment opportunities. For the welfare of farmers he promised to waive loans up to 10,000 BDT and provide free seeds and pesticides once BNP is in power. Additionally he mentioned the introduction of ‘Family Cards’ to ensure the economic empowerment of women and concluded by asking supporters to head to polling stations early in the morning.
