BNP Chairman Tarique Rahman has called upon the citizens to take full responsibility for protecting their voting rights to ensure a transparent election. Speaking at an election rally in Tangail on Saturday (January 31), he emphasized, "You must ensure that no one else casts your vote.

Without the people's mandate, establishing good governance and accountability in the country is impossible."

Highlighting the significance of the upcoming 13th National Parliamentary Election, Rahman described it as a crucial turning point for restoring democracy. He criticized past administrations, alleging that "mega-corruption" was carried out under the guise of "mega-projects," leaving ordinary citizens to bear the financial burden.

The BNP leader also warned against ongoing conspiracies to manipulate the election process through the unauthorized collection of NID cards and mobile banking information. He urged supporters to remain fearless and vigilant at polling centers. Following the rally, he formally handed over the 'Sheaf of Paddy' (Dhaner Sheash) symbols to the party's candidates for the eight constituencies in Tangail.
