Inqilab Mancha’s Member Secretary Jaber Shot

The Inqilab Mancha platform has claimed that its member secretary, Abdullah Al Jaber, was shot during an incident on Friday. The organization made the claim in a Facebook post at around 4:20 pm Bangladesh time.

In the same post, Inqilab Mancha alleged that two of its leaders, Juma and Shanta, were also assaulted. In a subsequent post, the group urged its supporters not to hold any gatherings for the time being, saying, “We will return to the streets after receiving medical treatment. Until then, we urge everyone to remain safe.”

Leaders of Inqilab Mancha have been staging a sit-in in front of Jamuna since Thursday, demanding justice for the killing of Shahid Sharif Osman Hadi.

The injured individuals were taken to Dhaka Medical College Hospital for treatment.

However, the hospital’s police outpost in-charge, Md Faruk, said three people are currently receiving treatment but none of them sustained gunshot wounds, contradicting the organization’s claim.
