Jamaat Advocates for Peaceful Labor-Management Ties: Dr. Shafiqur Rahman

Ameer of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami and Opposition Leader, Dr. Shafiqur Rahman, has emphasized the necessity of a harmonious relationship between employers and workers.

Speaking at a labor rally held at the south gate of Baitul Mukarram, he stated that his party envisions a system where mutual respect and justice define the workplace. According to him, a peaceful bond between owners and workers is not just ideal but essential for the country’s economic stability and industrial growth.

During his speech, Dr. Rahman also voiced strong concerns regarding the welfare of migrant workers. He criticized embassies that fail to protect the interests of Bangladeshi laborers abroad, suggesting that such institutions have no justification for their existence if they cannot serve the citizens. Furthermore, he clarified Jamaat’s stance in the parliament, asserting that their presence in the legislature is dedicated to voicing the rights of the common people rather than engaging in academic historical debates.
