Bangladesh’s Religious Affairs minister, Kazi Shah Mofazzal Hossain Kaykobad, said the Ministry of Religious Affairs worked with the utmost dedication to ensure the welfare and smooth experience of Bangladeshi pilgrims during this year’s Hajj.

Speaking at a post-Hajj press conference in Makkah on Friday night following the completion of the annual pilgrimage rituals, Kaykobad said he had sought to serve pilgrims not as a government minister, but as a “Khadem,” or servant of the pilgrims.

“The Prime Minister entrusted me with the responsibility of serving as a Khadem of the pilgrims. I have tried my utmost to fulfill that responsibility throughout the Hajj period,” he said.

Kaykobad described this year’s Hajj management as a success achieved through the grace of Almighty Allah and the collective efforts of all those involved.

“By the infinite mercy of Allah, this year’s Hajj operations have been completed successfully. The Ministry of Religious Affairs, the Hajj Office, medical teams, administrative officials, Hajj agency leaders, and all concerned stakeholders worked together tirelessly. Above all, the greatest contribution belongs to Almighty Allah,” he said.

The minister noted that authorities continuously monitored issues related to pilgrims’ accommodation, healthcare, and overall welfare throughout the pilgrimage. He said every effort was made to ensure that Bangladeshi pilgrims could perform Hajj smoothly and without major difficulties.

He also praised Saudi Arabia’s management of the pilgrimage, saying this year’s Hajj was conducted in an organized and efficient manner.

“The Hajj was completed in a very orderly and beautiful way this year. The Saudi government and the relevant authorities deserve appreciation for their efforts,” Kaykobad added.
