Two Bangladeshi Ministers to Join Prime Minister Tarique Rahman in China

Prime Minister and BNP Chairman Tarique Rahman, who is currently on an official visit to China following the conclusion of his trip to Malaysia, is expected to be joined by two additional cabinet ministers.

The ministers are Zahir Uddin Swapan, Minister of Information and Broadcasting, and Shahid Uddin Chowdhury Annie, Minister of Water Resources.

The information was confirmed on Tuesday by Shayrul Kabir Khan, a member of the BNP Media Cell.

According to Shayrul Kabir Khan, the two ministers are scheduled to depart for China on Tuesday night, provided all arrangements proceed as planned.

No further details regarding the ministers’ itinerary or the purpose of their participation in the ongoing visit were immediately disclosed. However, their inclusion in the delegation is expected to support discussions and engagements taking place during the Prime Minister’s China tour.

The visit comes amid growing bilateral cooperation between Bangladesh and China across a range of sectors, including trade, infrastructure, investment, and renewable energy.
