President Urges Continued Commitment to Rule of Law and Democracy

Attorney General Barrister Mohammad Ruhul Quddus Kajol paid a courtesy call on President Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir at Bangabhaban on Wednesday. During the meeting, they discussed various aspects of the country’s legal system and the activities of the Attorney General’s Office.

The attorney general briefed the president on the overall activities of his office and outlined various legal measures undertaken to protect the interests and legal rights of the state.

President Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir urged the attorney general to continue carrying out his responsibilities with professionalism, dedication and accountability while upholding the supremacy and dignity of the Constitution and maintaining the rule of law and democratic continuity.

The meeting also covered issues related to safeguarding the state’s legal interests, ensuring justice, protecting citizens’ rights and strengthening the effective role of constitutional institutions.

The president assured the attorney general of all necessary support in carrying out his responsibilities.
