Saudi Arabia Refunds Tk 10.23 Crore in Medical Expenses to Bangladeshi Hajj Pilgrims

Saudi Arabia has refunded Tk 10.23 crore deducted from 300 Bangladeshi Hajj pilgrims as medical expenses during the 2026 Hajj season.

Religious Affairs Minister Kazi Shah Mofazzal Hossain Kaikobad disclosed the information at a briefing at the Secretariat on Sunday.

The briefing was organised to announce the refund of medical expenses that were not covered by insurance.

The minister said the Saudi government had returned the entire Tk 10.23 crore deducted from the pilgrims.

He added that the refunded amount would soon be handed over to the respective Hajj agencies.
