The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) announced that its naval forces have conducted large-scale coordinated missile and drone attacks on key U.S. and “Zionist”-linked targets. The operation, named True Promise 4, was carried out as the 97th phase on Sunday afternoon.
According to the IRGC, one of the primary targets was a covert facility near the Mohammad Al-Ahmad Naval Base in Kuwait, reportedly used by U.S. commanders and personnel. The IRGC claimed that a combination of ballistic missiles and attack drones completely destroyed the site. Reports indicate the presence of numerous ambulances in the area, suggesting significant casualties among opposing forces.
The attack followed a prior strike in the United Arab Emirates on Saturday against a U.S. command center and training facility, which reportedly resulted in 25 casualties. In addition, an Israeli commercial vessel at the Jebel Ali Port channel was hit by a naval Qadir cruise missile, with the IRGC reporting that the ship is “currently on fire.”
Since Saturday, IRGC naval forces have restricted the movement of several ships through the Strait of Hormuz. Ships in the area were reportedly required to anchor at designated east and west positions, and commercial vessels were instructed to contact IRGC naval stations via International Marine Radio Channel 16 before passage. Mariners were also cautioned to ignore false reports and avoid endangering themselves.
The IRGC noted that these measures follow U.S. and Israeli provocations against Iran in late February, which prompted the imposition of restrictions on ship movements through the Strait of Hormuz.
In addition to naval attacks, the IRGC’s aerospace forces targeted an industrial site associated with the Israeli military near Beersheba. The operation was described as a response to what the IRGC called “the brutal oppression of the Iranian people by Zionist rule.”
Sunday morning strikes by IRGC naval and aerospace units targeted adversary sites in the UAE, Bahrain, and Kuwait in retaliation for U.S.-Israeli air attacks on Iranian civilian infrastructure.
The IRGC emphasized that these actions represent only a portion of their response, warning that repeated attacks on civilian areas would trigger an even more intense and widespread next phase.
To date, the Iranian armed forces and allied resistance groups in the region have carried out 97 missile and drone attacks against Israeli military installations and U.S. bases and assets across West Asia, using advanced weaponry to counter U.S. and Israeli operations.
