European Union foreign policy chief Kaja Kallas has welcomed the proposed draft peace agreement aimed at bringing Israel's war in Gaza to a complete end.
In a post on X on Friday, Kallas said the success of the agreement would depend on the full commitment of all parties involved.
"A major challenge will be verifying whether Hamas complies with the agreement. At the same time, Israel must ultimately withdraw its forces from Gaza," she wrote.
Kallas stressed that the effective implementation of the proposed peace deal would require sincere cooperation from both sides and strict adherence to its terms.
Her remarks came as international efforts continue to secure a lasting ceasefire and advance negotiations aimed at ending the conflict in Gaza.
