NEWS DESKThe Muslim Ummah of North America (MUNA) New Jersey North Chapter organized its much-anticipated and joyful community picnic at Van Saun Park.
More than five hundred delegates from across the region participated in the picnic on Saturday (July 26), bringing together for a day filled with unity, recreation, and community spirit.
The event, which ran from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM, featured a wide range of games and competitions for children, youth, and adult men, creating an energetic, harmony, entertainment and joyful atmosphere throughout the day. One of the highlights of the event was the dedicated 'Sisters Zone', which included separate competitions, cultural sessions, entertainment, and dining, all arranged for their comfort and enjoyment.
City and county officials joined the celebration, demonstrating strong community ties and support. The event was also graced by MUNA East Zone Vice President Brother Faruq Ahmed and MUNA NJ North Chapter President Imam Abdul Mannan.
The entire event was convened by NJ North Chapter Secretary Imam Hafiz Abdul Shakil. The presence of many other community leaders and local figures, contributed to the event’s success through their presence and encouragement.
MUNA NJ North Chapter officials thanked Almighty ALLAH for organizing the picnic in a very orderly and successful manner and expressed their gratitude to the enthusiastic volunteers whose dedication and tireless work behind the scenes made the event possible.
They also expressed their sincere thanks to all attendees, speakers, leaders, coleagues and volunteers as well as makes du’a that Allah ﷻ rewards everyone involved and continues to bless the community with unity and strength.
