MUNA Social Services Expands Community Help Center Program in Jackson Heights and Parkchester

MUNA Social Services has announced a significant expansion of its Community Help Center Program, bringing a wider range of essential services to residents of Jackson Heights and Parkchester. • Financial & Food Support: Help with SNAP applications and enrollment in Half-Fare MetroCard programs.

• Housing & Medicare Support: Guidance for Medicare enrollment, housing-related issues, and legal name-change applications.

• Career & Employment Services: Professional job search support, career development resources, and employment retention assistance.

• Document Review & Explanation: Staff will help community members review and understand official letters, notices, and documents to ensure proper follow-up.

MUNA Social Services said the expansion underscores its commitment to providing care, compassion, and long-term support to the diverse communities it serves. The organization aims to make vital social services more accessible at a time when many families continue to face economic, legal, and housing challenges.
