West Zone, USA — The Muslim Ummah of North America - MUNA, a nonprofit organization serving communities across the United States for more than three decades, has officially launched its activities in the state of Hawaii. With this milestone, MUNA now has a presence in all 50 U.S. states.
During a recent organizational visit, Mr. Ashraf Hossain Akbar, West Zone Vice President and Director of Manpower Development, and Dr. Riazul Islam, National Family Development Director, met with local members in Hawaii and formally announced the establishment of the MUNA Hawaii Chapter—the 8th chapter under the West Zone.
The inaugural leadership team of the Hawaii Chapter includes:
Dr. Arifur Rahman, President
Dr. Murad Hossain, Secretary
Md. Aftabuzzaman, Finance Secretary

Additional appointments are:
Mohammad Rouf, Family Development Director
Ismum Ul Hossain, Dawah Director
Ashiqur Rahman, Social Services Director

Speaking at the launching event, Mr. Ashraf Hossain Akbar congratulated the newly appointed leaders, stating:
“Allah has chosen you for this noble responsibility. We encourage you to seek His guidance and work diligently to advance MUNA’s moral and social mission within the community.”

The program concluded with a special prayer for the success and growth of MUNA’s initiatives in the state of Hawaii.
