Prayer Gathering Held in Michigan in Memory of Community Figure Ruhul Huda Mubin

A prayer gathering was held on Wednesday in memory of the late Ruhul Huda Mubin, a well-known figure, social worker, educationist, and organizer of Michigan's Bangladeshi community.The event was jointly organised by the Renaissance Cultural Group of Michigan and the CDR Mosque.

The programme took place at the mosque under the chairmanship of CDR Mosque President Ruhul Akhlak Shahi and was conducted by Dr. Raihanul Islam.

The chief guest at the event was Maulana Abdul Latif Azam, Imam of Al Falah Mosque. Special guests included Najmul Hasan Shaheen, Vice Chairman of the Michigan Democratic Party; Sahedul Islam, President of the Bangladeshi American Forum; Sadekul Haque Sumon, President of MIBADC; Aliur Rahman, Director of the Munar National Center; Al Falah Mosque Khatib Hafez Raihan Uddin; CDR Mosque Imam Nesar Uddin Ahmed; pharmacist Ruhul Siddiq Zakir; Maulana Ataur Rahman Khan; Faisal Ahmed; and Md. Idris Ali, among others.

Speakers recalled the life and contributions of Ruhul Huda Mubin and offered prayers seeking forgiveness and mercy for his soul.

The programme began with a recitation from the Holy Quran by artist Yasin Raheen. Devotional nasheed performances were presented by Renaissance Cultural Group Director Shafiqul Islam Rubel along with other Renaissance artists, adding a spiritual atmosphere to the gathering.

Members of the Bangladeshi community in Michigan attended the event to pay tribute to the late community leader.
