An education camp organized by the New York North Zone of MUNA was held on March 29 at the MUNA Center of Jamaica (Masjid Ar-Raiyyan) in Queens.
The event was attended by over 200 senior members and general members. The chief guest was MUNA’s National President, Imam Dalouer Hossain. The program was chaired by New York North Zone President Mominul Islam Majumder and conducted by General Secretary Engineer Masudur Rahman.
Special guests included former MUNA National President Abu Ahmed Nuruzzaman, Dr. Saidur Rahman Chowdhury, Harun Or Rashid, National Assistant Executive Director Ahmad Abu Ubayda, Abdullah Al Arif, and Dr. Ataul Haque Osmani, Chairman of NAHAR. Each of them delivered topic-based discussions during the program.
Invited guests at the event included Dr. Wazed A. Khan, Editor of Weekly Bangladesh; Mostafizur Rahman, Editor of Weekly Samadhan; businessman Abu Noman Mohammad Shakil; MUNA National Finance Assistant Director Sheikh Jalal Uddin; and MUNA Albany Chapter President Zia Uddin Ahmed, among others.
In his speech, Imam Dalouer Hossain emphasized that spiritual purification is one of the most essential needs in human life. He explained that the term Tazkiyah refers to both purification and growth—purification from hypocrisy and sin, and growth through strengthening faith and developing noble character. He noted that self-purification is essential for success in both this world and the hereafter for a true believer.
The event was supported by members of the zone’s executive committee, including Mawlana Toaha Amin Khan, Didarul Alam, Professor Dalouer Majumder, Advocate Abul Hashem, Nurus Samad Chowdhury, Manjur Ahmed, Mohammad Abdullah, Kaykobad Kabir, and Shamsul Alam, among others.
