As part of Dawah Fortnight 2026, the East Zone of the Muslim Ummah of North America - MUNA organized a regional dawah tour across the U.S. states of Maine, New Hampshire, and Vermont.

During the tour, East Zone leaders, joined by representatives from the Massachusetts and Connecticut chapters, visited Maine as part of the organization's annual dawah campaign. A key highlight of the visit was the establishment of a new MUNA Maine Sub-Chapter in Portland, marking a significant step toward expanding the organization's presence in the region.

The tour was also attended by Khairul Hasan Rafiq, Director of MUNA's National Media and Publication Services. Meanwhile, Mahmudul Kadir Tafader, President of MUNA East Zone, and Humayun Kabir, Secretary of the East Zone, visited New Hampshire and Vermont, where they met with local community members and exchanged views on strengthening organizational activities.

MUNA leaders said the primary objective of the tour was to spread the message of Islam in areas where organized dawah efforts remain limited and to strengthen engagement among local Muslim communities.

They also expressed optimism that the formation of the new Maine Sub-Chapter would help expand MUNA's dawah initiatives throughout Maine and neighboring states, fostering stronger community outreach and organizational development.
