The South Zone of the Muslim Ummah of North America - MUNA has launched a coordinated dawah outreach initiative to share Islam's message of peace with football fans and international visitors attending the FIFA World Cup 2026 in the United States.

The initiative is being carried out across the four World Cup host cities within MUNA South Zone—Dallas, Houston, Atlanta, and Miami. A total of 31 World Cup matches, including two semifinal fixtures in Dallas and Atlanta, will be held in these four cities.

According to the organizers, the World Cup presents a unique opportunity to engage with people from diverse countries, cultures, and linguistic backgrounds and introduce them to the teachings of Islam through meaningful interactions.

MUNA volunteers are welcoming visitors, engaging them in friendly conversations, and responding to questions about Islam in an open and respectful manner. As part of the outreach, free copies of the Holy Quran in multiple languages, along with Islamic books, brochures, and educational materials, are being distributed. Volunteers are also offering complimentary drinking water and refreshments to visitors.

Leaders of MUNA South Zone said the primary objective of the initiative is to present the true beauty of Islam through wisdom, exemplary character, and positive engagement. They noted that the program is inspired by the guidance of Quran 16:125, which calls on believers to "invite to the way of your Lord with wisdom and good instruction."

Organizers expressed hope that the initiative will help address common misconceptions about Islam while fostering meaningful connections with people from around the world. They also believe the program will provide MUNA members, particularly young volunteers, with valuable opportunities to actively participate in community outreach and dawah efforts during one of the world's largest sporting events.
