Seerat-un-Nabi (SAW) Mahfil Held at MUNA Center of Jackson Heights

A Seerat-un-Nabi (SAW) Mahfil was held on Monday evening, August 17, in New York under the initiative of the MUNA Center of Jackson Heights.

The program focused on the life and teachings of the Prophet Muhammad (SAW), following the guidance of the Holy Quran, and building one’s life according to Islamic values.

The event was presided over by veteran journalist Kazi Shamsul Haque, editor of the New York-based weekly Ekhon Shomoy. The Holy Quran was recited by Hamimur Rahman Hamim, while the program was moderated by Kaykobad Kabir, Secretary of the MUNA Center of Jackson Heights.

MUNA National President Imam Dalouer Hossain attended the event as the chief guest. In his speech, he highlighted various aspects of the life and teachings of Prophet Muhammad (SAW) and emphasized that Muslims should conduct their lives by firmly adhering to the commands and guidance of Allah. He also stressed the importance of shaping one’s personal and social life in accordance with the Quran and following Islamic principles to attain salvation in the Hereafter.

Advocate Ehsanul Mahbub Zubayer, Vice President of Bangladesh Lawyers, was present as the keynote speaker. He discussed the life, character, and contributions of Prophet Muhammad (SAW), describing him as the greatest human being and the Messenger of Allah. At the conclusion of his speech, he called upon the attendees to conduct their individual and social lives in accordance with the teachings of the Holy Quran revealed to the Prophet (SAW).

Maulana Oliur Rahman Siraji, Imam and Khatib of the MUNA Center of Jackson Heights, also addressed the gathering. Echoing the themes of the previous speakers, he urged everyone to follow the life and teachings of Prophet Muhammad (SAW) and to observe the commands and injunctions of Allah in their daily lives.

Among others, Maulana Fakhrul Islam Masum, President of the Jackson Heights Chapter; Nasir Uddin, President of the Elmhurst Chapter; leaders from different levels of MUNA; and distinguished community members were present at the event.

In his closing remarks, event chair Kazi Shamsul Haque emphasized the importance of following the exemplary life of Prophet Muhammad (SAW). He encouraged everyone to shape their lives in accordance with the guidance of the Holy Quran and Sunnah.
