Xi Jinping and Vladimir Putin have signed a joint statement pledging to further strengthen strategic coordination and deepen friendly cooperation between China and Russia.
The agreement was announced following high-level talks in which officials from both countries also signed more than 20 cooperation deals covering trade, technology, intellectual property, and scientific research.
According to the joint statement, bilateral relations have continued to improve and have now reached what the leaders described as a “comprehensive strategic partnership of the highest level.”
Xi Jinping said the two countries have consistently treated each other with mutual respect and equality, and that their relationship has entered a new stage of development.
He further emphasized that China and Russia will expand cooperation in emerging sectors such as artificial intelligence and technological innovation.
Both sides also reaffirmed their commitment to safeguarding international fairness and justice, while opposing what they described as unilateral dominance and attempts to “rewrite history.”
The renewed diplomatic push highlights ongoing efforts by Beijing and Moscow to align more closely on global governance issues and expand collaboration across economic and technological domains.
