Iran will firmly block any attempts to establish an alternative route or second maritime corridor through the strategic Strait of Hormuz, declared Major General Mohsen Rezaei, Senior Military Adviser to Iran's Supreme Leader and Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council (SNSC).

In an official statement issued on Thursday (August 6) night, Rezaei issued a stern warning to Washington, asserting that if ongoing blockades and aggressive posture continue, US naval vessels and military personnel will face catastrophic risks and high-level casualties.

Rezaei underscored that Tehran will not tolerate the present trajectory of confrontational measures along the critical choke-point, calling on the United States to urgently re-evaluate its military deployment in the region. Energy and defense analysts warn that escalated posturing around the Strait of Hormuz—the vital transit hub for global oil shipments—threatens to disrupt international maritime supply chains and destabilize global energy markets.
