Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has released a new Hajj calendar outlining important dates and procedures for the upcoming pilgrimage season.
The announcement comes as Saudi authorities intensify preparations for Hajj, while the moon sighting for the Islamic month of Dhul Hijjah — which will determine the date of Eid-ul-Adha — is scheduled to take place on Sunday evening.
According to a report by Khaleej Times, the newly published calendar states that the issuance of Umrah visas will resume from May 31, allowing Umrah pilgrims to enter Saudi Arabia once again.
From June 1, entry into Makkah and the issuance of Umrah permits through the Nusuk app will also officially restart.
The calendar further notes that September 1, 2026, will be the final date for issuing Umrah visas for the new season, while September 23, 2026, will be the last day for Umrah pilgrims to enter Saudi Arabia.
The final deadline for Umrah pilgrims to leave the Kingdom has been set for April 7, 2027.
Meanwhile, on May 11, services for foreign agents were activated, along with the launch of final electronic contract procedures between Umrah companies and agents through online platforms.
On May 12, Saudi authorities officially launched electronic contract services between Umrah companies and service recipients. These services also include support facilities for people with disabilities and heritage-related services.
