NEWS DESKThe Muslim Ummah of North America (MUNA) New York South Zone organized a comprehensive daylong Educational Session for its Members and Senior Members on Saturday, June 14, 2025 at the MUNA Center of New York Auditorium in Ozone Park. The Event started at 8:30 AM and concluded around 7:00 PM.
The Session commenced with the recitation of the Holy Qur'an by Maulana Moinul Haque, followed by the inaugural speech from MUNA NY South Zone Manpower Development Director Mohammad Belal Uddin (VP). The program was jointly conducted by A. K. M. Saiful Alam and Hasan Sarwardi Dulal.
The first part of the session featured a Qur'anic Lesson (Dars) delivered by MUNA National Assistant Executive Director Hafiz Abdullah Al Arif. He was followed by Shaikh Ahmad Abu Ubayda, MUNA National Assistant Executive Director and Head Teacher of the religious institution "QAFYS", who spoke on the topic of 'Forming a Religious Family in the Life of a Believers'.
After the Zuhr prayer and lunch break, artist Fakhrul Islam Faisal recited the Quran in the begaining of second part. Then, MUNA National Vice President Abu Ahmed Nuruzzaman delivered an important speech on 'Time Management, Worship, Organization and What We Can Do to Achieve Harmony in the Workplace'. MUNA National Assistant Executive Director Professor Dr. Mohammed Ruhul Amin presented an interesting discussion on 'Farewell Hajj Speech in the Light of Hadith', where he highlighted the universal message of Islam in the light of the said speech.
One of the special part of the program was 'The Presentation of the Organizational Report, Baitul Maal and the Executive Plans for the upcoming MUNA Convention 2025. MUNA's National Executive Director Arman Chowdhury CPA shed light on the subject in a wide range.
MUNA's National President Imam Dalouer Hossain was present as the Chief Guest in the Educational Session. He delivered a significant speech on 'Religious Oath in the Life of the Companions of the Prophet: Our Position and Actions'.
In his speech, the Chief Guest said that due to not following the teachings of the Companions of the Prophet (PBUH), we are falling into various calamities. If we cannot give proper Islamic education to our children, our future days will be very difficult. We must always strive to save ourselves and our families from the fire of hell.
Sheikh Muhaddith Mahmudul Hasan, an internationally renowned Islamic scholar from Bangladesh, spoke as the Special Guest.
The program concluded with a self-assessment (Ihtesab) and final supplication (Dua) led by MUNA New York South Zone President Maulana Emdad Ullah on the closing part. Breakfast and lunch were provided for the invitees. Throughout the day, the event was commendable for exemplary discipline, sincer steadiness and a hospitable environmentby the participants .
