NEWS DESKThe curtain has risen on the MUNA Convention 2025, organized under the slogan ‘Touchbearers of Islam, Spreading the Faith Globally’. The largest three-day convention of Muslims in North America began on Friday, August 8, with the offering of Friday prayers at the historic Pennsylvania Convention Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
Organizers expect more than 20,000 attendees, including men, women, youth and children from across the United States and abroad. The Muslim Ummah of North America (MUNA) has completed all preparations for its flagship event. The convention reception team is ready to welcome guests and participants, said MUNA National Executive Director and Convention Committee Chairman Arman Chowdhury CPA.
The three-day convention, which began with Juma'a Prayers on Friday August 8, will conclude on Sunday, August 10 at 5 pm. The schedule for Saturday will run from morning till 11:00 PM, packed with engaging sessions and interactive forums.
Notable programs of the convention will feature a wide range of sessions and activities, including multiple seminars, children’s attractions and rides, Islamic cultural performances, bazaar, youth program, sisters program etc.
Global Scholars and Renowned Speakers have also arrived
A lineup of prominent Islamic scholars and speakers has been confirmed, including Dr. Omar Suleiman, Imam Delouer Hossain, Sami Hamdi, Sami Hamdi, Mohammad Ilsenway, Dr. Altaf Hossain, Imam Tom Fackin, Hamzah Abdul Malik, Imam Siraj Ohaz, Asif Hairani, Abdul Nasir Jangda and others. Distinguished guests New York and various states of the United States, Bangladesh, the United Kingdom and Africa are also expected to address the audience throughout the convention.
Diverse Programs for All Ages
Arman Chowdhury CPA further said that the convention will have separate programs for children, adolescents, youth and women. A special highlight this year is the inclusion of innovative sessions on Robotics and Artificial Intelligence (AI) geared toward Muslim youth. In addition, there will be various programs for young sisters and adult brothers and sisters.
One of the most anticipated features of the convention is the “Matrimonial Day” on Sunday, which will include specially organized 'match making' sessions for young boys and girls who are single. Marriageable boys and girls studying at the college level or engaged in various jobs will have the opportunity to join this session.
