NEWS DESKThe Muslim Ummah of North America (MUNA) New Jersey North Chapter organized a free water donation drive among pedestrians and community people on Monday, August 11, at the Masjid Adam square of MUNA Patterson Center.
A group of volunteers from MUNA Social Services distributed this drinkable water to the thirsty pedestrians and the general public in the intense heat.
In this continuation, a seven-day blood drive was organized at the same place from Friday, August 15. Where blood was voluntarily collected from adults and healthy people for emergency patients.
Arrangements were also made to provide adequate water to the blood donors, necessary entertainment, and raffle tickets to win $1000. A group of trained medical assistants from the MUNA Social Services department collected the blood.
The organizers said that such humanitarian initiatives of the Social Services Department will continue in the future.
