MUNA Orange County Chapter Holds Tafseerul Qur’an Mahfil

On Sunday, October 5th, the Muslim Ummah of North America - MUNA Orange County Chapter hosted a Tafseerul Qur’an program at the Masjid Al-Ansar.

The gathering began at 5 PM with prominent Islamic scholar, Abdul Hai Muhammad Saifullah, a renowned Islamic thinker and scholar from Bangladesh, serving as the main speaker. Special guest Anisur Rahman Gazi, MUNA’s National Assistant Executive Director, was also present at the event.

The program was attended by several key figures, including Abdul Mannan, President of MUNA West Zone; Ashraf Hossain Akbar, Vice President of MUNA West Zone; and Abdul Malek, Secretary of MUNA West Zone. Other distinguished attendees included Professor Ali Akbar, Director of Family Development at MUNA West Zone; Kamrul Zaman Shimul, Youth Coordinator at MUNA West Zone; Rezaul Karim, Secretary of MUNA Hollywood Chapter; Rashed Hasan, Baitul Mal Secretary of MUNA Valley Chapter; Muhammad Iqbal, Office Secretary of MUNA Hollywood Chapter; and many other leaders from MUNA and the Kandari Cultural Group.

The program was hosted by Muhammad Mamun Khan, Secretary of MUNA Orange County Chapter. The session began with a recitation of the Qur'an along with its translation by Iqbal Muhammad Sharif. The welcome address was delivered by Muhammad Enamul Haq, President of MUNA Orange County Chapter.

In his speech, Abdul Hai Muhammad Saifullah emphasized the Islamic way of life, moral ethics, mutual empathy, and the message of humanity, based on the teachings of the Qur'an. He explained that the Qur'an is the constitution for the liberation of humanity and the complete guide for human life. He asserted that nations that follow the Qur'an will be successful both in this world and in the hereafter, and the progress of any nation is dependent on living according to the light of the Qur'an.

Abdul Hai Muhammad Saifullah further remarked that, as modernity progresses, society is increasingly sinking into moral decay, but the teachings of the Qur'an can offer a way out of this crisis. He also discussed the importance of peace, justice, and steadfast faith in society, elaborating on several verses from the Qur'an. Additionally, he urged the younger generation to adhere to prayer, follow the righteous path, and honor their parents.

Following the main speech, Anisur Rahman Gazi, MUNA’s National Assistant Executive Director, gave a brief address.

The gathering was attended by over 300 people, including distinguished guests, local community members, youth, and both men and women. Many participants shared that they found Abdul Hai Muhammad Saifullah's talk to be insightful, filled with wisdom and logic, and truly heart-touching. They believe his message will bring about positive change in their lives.

The President of MUNA West Zone assured that similar Tafseerul Qur'an events would continue to be organized in the future.

The program concluded with a prayer (du'a) for the unity, peace, and prosperity of the nation and the Muslim Ummah. Dinner was served to all attendees at the end of the event.
