Grand Youth Iftar organized by MUNA Youth Prospect Park held at ICPC Masjid Yunis

On the evening of Friday March 14, a vibrant gathering of the emerging youth of Haledon, Wayne, Paterson and Prospect Park communities took place at the Grand Youth Iftar Program hosted by MUNA Youth Prospect Park at ICPC Masjid Yunis.

More than 120 youth spontaneously participated in this joint platform to strengthen brotherhood, reflect on the hereafter and and reinforce the true purpose of life in the sacred month of Ramadan.

The program was led by Brother Shakil Choudhury was moderated by Brother Salman Choudhury. A group of smart members of the sub-chapter team helped make the event successful and lively from behind the scenes.

MUNA National Education Assistant Director Abu Samiha Sirajul Islam delivered the Keynote Address to the youth. He said that Islam is not just a promise for the month of Ramadan, but for the entire life of a person. He reminded the youth that the spirituality and good habits developed during Ramadan should be continued throughout the year. He urged the youth to remain steadfast in their prayers, Quranic studies, and righteous actions beyond the blessed month.

The Youth Gathering was further addressed by the Special Guest, Sheikh Ismail Hamidi, Imam of ICPC Masjid Yunus. He presented a heart-warming talk to the youth on the importance of repentance to receive the mercy of Almighty Allah.

The event was further honored by the presence of prominent community leaders.
Among them was Mohammad Khairullah, Mayor of Prospect Park and former Democratic candidate for the US House of Representatives from New Jersey. Niaz Nadim, Commissioner of Prospect Park and Faruk Ahmed, MUNA East Zone Vice President cum President of Masjid Adam BOT.

Each of them greatly encouraged the youth in their speeches to live an Islamic lifestyle.

The event, which featured an engaging segment of inspirating lectures,
beautiful recitation of the Holy Quran, a fun and interactive Islamic quiz competition with prizes, concluded with a heart-warming Dua session.

Finally, the youth had Iftar together and in a family atmosphere, which will further strengthen their bond as a community. At the end of the event, the organizer MUNA Youth Prospect Park expressed gratitude to the attendees and speakers reaffirming its commitment to fostering youth involvement in the masjid and promoting Islamic values.

The Grand Youth Iftar left the participants with a renewed sense of faith, purpose, and a deep appreciation for the blessings of Ramadan.
