Trump to Meet New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani for Talks on New York Issues

U.S. President Donald Trump is scheduled to meet New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani on Monday, the mayor's office announced.

According to the mayor's office, the meeting will take place at Gracie Mansion, the official residence of the New York City mayor.

"The meeting will focus on issues affecting New York City and its residents," the mayor's office said in a statement.

The talks come after months of sharp public exchanges between the two leaders.

Trump and Mamdani first met at the White House shortly after Mamdani's victory in the November 2025 mayoral election. During that meeting in the Oval Office, the two leaders exchanged pleasantries, smiled for cameras, and pledged to work together despite their political differences.

Monday's meeting is expected to continue discussions on issues of mutual importance to New York City and the federal government.
