Early Sunday morning, local time, Shafiqur Rahman posted on his verified Facebook account:
“InshaAllah, the Bangladesh of tomorrow will be a Bangladesh of justice. Inquilab Zindabad.”

Political Context
The post comes amid debate over the slogan “Inquilab Zindabad.”
Earlier, State Minister for Power, Energy and Mineral Resources Iqbal Hasan Mahmud Tuku said that if Bengali identity and the Bangla language are to be upheld, the slogan “Inquilab Zindabad” should not be used. He argued that the phrase and similar expressions have no connection to Bengali culture and are linked to those who once sought to suppress the Bengali language.
In response, newly elected Member of Parliament for Cumilla-4 (Debidwar) and NCP chief organizer Hasnat Abdullah, along with the party’s chief coordinator Nasiruddin Patwari and others, posted “Inquilab Zindabad” on social media in protest.
Their posts quickly spread online, triggering widespread discussion. Supporters and critics alike have expressed mixed reactions, fueling a broader debate across social platforms.
