The Muslim Ummah of North America - MUNA, New York South Zone, organized a “Meet & Greet” dinner on Monday, April 5, in honor of Afro-American Muslim brothers and sisters.
The event, held at Baitul Mamur Masjid and Community Center in New York, featured the announcement of a newly established chapter. Organizers described this initiative as a significant milestone in the organization’s ongoing efforts and expansion.
MUNA National President, Imam Dalouer Hossain, attended the program as the chief guest. The event was further enriched by the notable presence of members from the Afro-American Muslim community.

Special guests included MUNA National Assistant Executive Directors Dr. Ruhul Amin and Hafiz Abdullah Al Arif. Also present were National Social Service Director Mohammad Sujan, New York South Zone President Emdad Ullah, Nahar and Relief Director Abdus Sattar, and Brooklyn East Chapter President Mohammad M. Siraji.

During the program, Abu Baker was appointed as Convener of the newly formed chapter, while Maken was assigned as Joint Convener.
Organizers announced that regular meetings of the new chapter will be held on the first Sunday of every month. They also called upon members of the community to actively participate and contribute to strengthening and advancing the organization’s mission.
