Officials traveling with U.S. President Donald Trump reportedly discarded all items provided by Chinese authorities following the conclusion of Trump’s visit to China.

According to reports, the discarded materials included delegation identification badges, burner phones, and special lapel pins issued to members of the U.S. delegation. Before boarding Air Force One at the airport, officials collected the items and disposed of them in a bin.

Emily Goodin, a White House correspondent for the New York Post, wrote on social media platform X that no items given by Chinese officials were allowed onto the aircraft.

Trump departed for the United States from Beijing Capital International Airport on Friday. Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi was present during the farewell ceremony, where schoolchildren waved Chinese and American flags as Trump departed. Before boarding the aircraft, Trump raised a clenched fist toward supporters.

During the three-day visit, Trump held talks with Chinese President Xi Jinping. The two leaders reportedly agreed on preventing Iran from obtaining nuclear weapons. Trump also emphasized the importance of keeping the Strait of Hormuz open for global trade and energy security.

However, international media outlets reported that the visit concluded without any major breakthrough in trade negotiations or a clear commitment from China regarding cooperation related to the Iran conflict. Xi also reportedly delivered a cautious message regarding Taiwan during the discussions.

Meanwhile, reports suggest that Russian President Vladimir Putin may visit China on May 20, although neither Beijing nor Moscow has officially confirmed the date of the trip.
