Diplomatic Efforts to Bring Back Sheikh Hasina Are Ongoing: Parliamentary Committee

The Parliamentary Standing Committee on the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has emphasized prioritizing national interests in the country's foreign policy during its second meeting.

Discussions centered on crucial issues, including ongoing diplomatic and legal initiatives to repatriate ousted prime minister Sheikh Hasina, curbing illegal migration and human trafficking, and addressing the protracted Rohingya crisis.

Chaired by committee president Zohrat Adib Chowdhury at the National Parliament Bhaban on Thursday, the meeting also reviewed systemic flaws in past overseas employment processes and highlighted the newly launched "Migration Wing" in the foreign ministry to ensure safe migration.
