MUNA Brooklyn West and Connecticut Chapter’s ‘Welcome Ramadan’

The Muslim Ummah of North America (MUNA) Brooklyn West and Connecticut Chapters organized the "Welcome Ramadan" program on Saturday, February 22 and Sunday, February 23, respectively.

Brooklyn West Chapter

The "Welcome Ramadan" program held at the Darul Jannah Masjid auditorium in Brooklyn. There was attended as the Chief Guest Mawlana Shafayet Hossain Safa, National Social Director of MUNA.

The Special Guests were Mawlana Emdad Ullah, President of MUNA New York South Zone and Mawlana Ibrahim Khalil Ullah, Khatib of Darul Jannah Masjid.

The program was presided over by Brooklyn West Chapter President Mahmudur Rahman Ripon and hosted by Chapter Secretary Mohammad Helal Uddin.

Connecticut Chapter

The MUNA Connecticut Chapter held a grand opening of MCC and Welcome Ramadan ceremony for the newly built MUNA Center of Connecticut Auditorium on February 23. The center, which is the new ownership under the MUNA authority, was inaugurated by the Chief Guest Imam Delwar Hossain, National President of the Muslim Ummah of North America MUNA.

The special guest was Faruk Ahmed, Vice President of the MUNA East Zone. The program was presided over by Connecticut Chapter President Mujir Uddin.

In his discussion, the chief guest Imam Delwar Hossain highlighted the importance of establishing Masjid for the Bangladeshi community to spread the religion and develop Islamic culture, and the significance of the holy month of Ramadan.
