MUNA East Zone Holds Two-Day Education Camp in Delaware

The Muslim Ummah of North America - MUNA East Zone organized a two-day “Advanced Associate Member Education Camp 2026” in Newark, Delaware. The program took place on May 2–3 at the Ramada Inn hotel, bringing together associate members for training and development.

The camp began on the first morning with recitation from the Holy Qur’an, followed by opening remarks from Humayun Kabir, Secretary of MUNA East Zone. Throughout the day, participants attended a series of sessions, including a Darsul Qur’an on Surah Al-Hadid (verses 20–21), presented by Mahmudul Kadir Tafader, President of MUNA East Zone. A Qur’an and Hadith memorization session was conducted by Mohammed Abdul Mannan, Assistant Education Director.

Several discussions focused on leadership and organizational development. Arman Chowdhury CPA, National Executive Director of MUNA, led a session on the essential qualities of Islamic leadership. Distinguished Islamic scholar Ustadh Khaleel-ur-Rahman Chishti spoke on the concept of Bay’ah as a foundation of Islamic organization. A workshop on the conditions for success in Islamic movements was conducted by Mohammed Ibrahim Khalil, Director of Education, MUNA East Zone.

In the evening, Abdullah Al Arif, National Assistant Executive Director and Director of Education, delivered a session on personal development within the MUNA organizational framework. The first day concluded with a national session, a quiz competition, and congregational prayers.

The second day began with Fajr prayer and morning supplications, followed by a Darsul Hadith session led by Abdullah Al Arif. Participants also attended a workshop on the MUNA Constitution conducted by Humayun Kabir.

The program concluded with a self-reflection (muhasabah) session, closing remarks, and a collective supplication led by Mahmudul Kadir Tafader. The camp ended with Zuhr prayer, lunch, and departure.

Organizers said the education camp aimed to strengthen participants’ knowledge, leadership capacity, and commitment to organizational values through a balanced blend of spiritual, intellectual, and practical training.
