US Ambassador to Israel Mike Huckabee has reiterated a controversial statement he made previously, claiming that the United States would not exist without Israel.

Speaking on Monday at a special conference organized by the Jewish Telegraphic Agency in West Jerusalem, Huckabee outlined his historical and religious perspective, arguing that Western civilization is fundamentally rooted in Jewish and Judeo-Christian values and traditions.

Emphasizing the depth of the historical relationship between the two countries, Huckabee stated, “Without Israel, there would be no United States.” He further clarified his position by adding, “There would be no United States without it. It is really that simple and clear.”

The ambassador also openly acknowledged recent diplomatic and political tensions between Washington and Tel Aviv. However, he maintained that such disagreements are temporary and do not undermine the long-standing partnership between the two allies.

According to Huckabee, the historical and strategic ties between the United States and Israel remain enduring and resilient despite occasional differences. He described the relationship as an “unbreakable bond,” underscoring what he characterized as the deep and lasting connection between the two nations.

The remarks are likely to draw renewed attention given Huckabee’s longstanding support for Israel and his previous statements linking American identity and Western civilization to Jewish and Judeo-Christian heritage.
